Billing notes
We bill monthly, in CAD. You may cancel before the next charge and keep the days already paid. Applicable taxes are added when we raise the invoice. We send that invoice to the billing address you give us.
A card or an electronic funds transfer both work. We do not ask for a multi-year prepay as a condition of a seat.
Trial
Two-week trial
A Reader seat can run for fourteen days with no automatic charge at the end. If you want to stay, write to the desk. If you go quiet, the seat simply closes.
Cap
The seat cap
Forty is the number we can still write for by hand and still answer by name. Team seats count toward the same forty. When the board is full, new requests go on a waiting list.
The list moves when someone cancels or when a trial ends without a paid seat. We write to the next name in the order they arrived. We do not sell a jump.
Limits
What is not included
Exclusive embargoes. A promised count of items each morning. Press-release distribution or a placement inside the briefing. Those sit outside the desk, and we will say so before a seat starts.
Billing questions
When am I charged?
On the same calendar day each month, after a trial ends and you ask to keep the seat. The first paid month starts the morning after we confirm.
How do I cancel?
Write to [email protected] before the next invoice. The current month runs to its end. We do not pro-rate a mid-month stop unless the desk has to withdraw the seat.
Can one organization hold several Reader seats?
Yes, and each one still counts toward the forty. Past three individual seats we usually suggest a Team board, which is simpler to archive and cheaper per person.
If a seat is open, we can start a trial on the next working Monday.
